In 2015, I published my first novel, Friendly Fire. It’s fiction, but it’s set in the community where I grew up and still live, and explores the very real problem of violence against women. Darby, the main character, is sort of a reluctant detective, tasked with finding her aunt’s killer...
whether she really wants to know or not.

My second novel, All That's Left, launched in May 2024 with NeWest Press. It picks up where Friendly Fire ended, as Darby launches her career in the music business and tries to rebuild a life shattered by trauma.

I’m a former magazine editor, having led the teams at Canadian Cattlemen, Country Guide and GrowPro. I've now shifted to ranching and other work. These days you can find me on my family's ranch, working from my home office or in the classroom.
