In 2015, I published my first novel, Friendly Fire. It’s fiction, but it’s set in the community where I grew up and still live, and explores the very real problem of violence against women. Darby, the main character, is sort of a reluctant detective, tasked with finding her aunt’s killer...
whether she really wants to know or not.
My second novel, All That's Left, is due out in May 2024 with NeWest Press. It picks up where Friendly Fire ended, as Darby launches her career in the music business and tries to rebuild a life shattered by trauma.
I’m also the editor of Canadian Cattlemen magazine, a publication read by beef producers from across Canada. The magazine has been in circulation since 1938. I’m the fifth editor, and first female editor.
